If you’ve dabbled with the idea of preparing for your first figure contest, then you have probably come to the realization that you need a structured figure competition diet to propel your fat loss and lean muscle gain.
Problems arise when newbie figure competitors take figure prep dieting lightly, not giving any regards to the quality of the food they eat. In this short article I’m going to reveal some secrets, tips, and tricks to boost your fat loss with the perfect figure contest diet plan.
It is crucial that you eat a natural diet – These days, figure competitions are mainstream and if you do any
figure diet searches online you will find a whole host of conflicting information… eat this, don’t eat that, eat this only at this time, eat that only before you do this, etc. All the “dieting rules” can send you into misinformation and information overload.
The well-prepared fat loss figure competition diet is one that involves natural foods you can hunt, pick, gather, fish, etc. If you are getting your foods from a box, such as Rice-A-Roni, then you are filling your body will tons of chemicals which hinder fat loss and muscle gain. Real food can be used and fake food just overloads your system and makes you sluggish.
Take a scheduled cheat once a week – Successful figure competitors adhere to a strict and structured figure prep diet, but that’s not to say they don’t have a little cheat meal here or there. Cheating every day or haphazardly can welcome disaster, but if you implement a scheduled cheat meal once a week you can feed your cravings and shock your body all in one punch. This sort of shock can sky rocket fat loss and create a breeding ground for adding lean muscle.
Eat the foods that will burn body fat – All macro-nutrients (protein, carbs, and fat) are important in a stable and balanced figure competition diet. However, if you want to amp-up your fat burning ability, you need to increase your non-starchy veggie intake.
Non-starchy veggies are fat burning foods. They are negative calories and they don’t spike your insulin levels. When your insulin levels remain low, your body is able to dip into your body fat stores and burn off that nagging body fat much easier and faster. So, eat up the non-starchy veggies; eat as much of them as you want. The more you eat the more body fat you will burn.
