Diet (You Are What You Eat?)
If you’ve been in the fitness scene for any amount of time this shouldn’t be a news flash. Diet is 80%… No, let’s go with 90% of fat loss. Why 90%? Because that is what I believe to be true via 28 years of trial and error and the thousands of figure competitors I coach.
While we are on the subject, it’s not just about a restrictive diet, it’s about nutrition. Nourishment from protein, carbs, and essential fat is the platform. How you tweak the macronutrients is the key boosting fat loss.
If you plug-in the right nutrition plan and drink an adequate amount of water your body will literally purge, yes I said PURGE sodium, fat, and toxins right out of your body. How cool is that?
Here’s the deal… Food chemical ingredients that your body can’t use such as preservatives, artificial flavorings and colorings, as well as stabilizers and emulsifiers, and all that other junk get stuck and trapped in your fat stores.
By eating a diet composed of real food, natural food, your body receives its nourishment and is able to function as it should, and help to expel some of those toxins to a degree. The more your body is able to be nourished and purge impurities, the fewer cravings you will have and it will improve your overall metabolic rate. Exercise (Cardio And Training Application Is Everything)
Most women who want to lose belly fat turn into cardio queens, doing cardio every blessed day of the week for hours on end. Sure, adding in cardio exercise will help to burn off fat stores to some degree, but realize that cardio can only do so much.
Use cardio as a tool, not as the only method. In fact, doing just a mere 20-30 minutes of HIIT 4-5 times a week may be all you need to start off with to get the belly fat moving off your body. You can slowly build this amount over time based on your rate of fat loss.
Ab training is really good for building a strong abdominal core, and of course those well-defined abs you want to sport on stage. You don’t need to do thousands of crunches every day. There are a lot of ab exercises you can implement and you can use a variety of rep ranges and even add poundage too.
Yes, adding poundage to your crunches can help, and then doing a few sets of a good 40-60 reps works well too. Keep your ab workout varied. If your tummy is a real trouble zone, it’s okay to work abs every day to help lose belly fat, provide they are not sore from the previous workout.
Supplement (Something Extra)
Can supplements help you lose belly fat? Sure, if your diet is 90% in check, you are doing some cardio, and of course adding in your ab workout. However keep in mind that supplements are just that, to supplement your program.
