I have 3 great fat loss supplements to recommend. They are an iffy subject for some athletes. Either an athlete supports the use of all-natural products or she is against it all together.
The truth is, you can compete without supplementing your diet. However, you may not do as well as the gal who does implement the use of some great fat loss supplements to boost her metabolic rate. What many think is the BEST and most well-balanced diet is deficient in nutrients and contains some level of toxins due to pesticides and synthetic chemicals in our water, soil, and food supply.
You don’t need a boatload of various substances to get you a figure-ready body. However, it is beneficial to use a good quality multi-vitamin every day, as well as a protein powder to ensure you receive proper nutrients. Dr. Mercola discusses, “Realizing you may not always obtain the unprocessed preferably organic foods you need — and knowing how easy it is for valuable nutrients to be destroyed — you can understand why I believe adding a good multivitamin to complete your diet is a sound move.”
The trick with these 3 great fat loss supplements is in knowing WHAT to take and WHEN to take it. Also, it is best to use products in their individual form rather than buying designer items with more than 5 ingredients in them.
Designer fat loss supplements try to make it look as if it’s giving more “power to the punch” with an array of various ingredients that all do the same thing. The problem is they may contain good ingredients, just not in the amount necessary to do the job you want it for.
Thermogenic (Oldie But Goodie)
Great fat loss supplements don’t work alone. You need to establish a well-balanced diet first so the item of choice can do its job properly.
The problem is, thermogenics are a joke these days. Back when REAL thermos were on the market they contained ephedrea and you knew you were taking a fat burner. Some of the best were Twin Labs Ripped Fuel and Diet Fuel. A few years later HydroxyCut made its appearance and rose to stardom with great marketing ads. These products truly worked in the 1990s.
Sadly, new supplement companies abused them by suggesting mega-doses which made some people sick. The general overweight public abused them by taking too many to achieve desired results, and finally the partying community abused them so they could party “wired”.
One of the great fat loss supplements on the market was Hot Rox Extreme. It contains a few different herbs to boost the metabolism, but it is combined with caffeine and even yohimbine, amounts of each not known, but it pulls it all together in 500 mg and it seems to do a good job.
Since the Property Blend is a mixture of several herbs, it’s not a lot of each, but again they seem to work well synergistically with the caffeine in it. Some of the herbs in Hot Rox Extreme are stimulated by caffeine. The other herbs stimulate the thyroid, enhance memory and mental awareness, increase metabolism, decrease appetite, boosts energy and focus.
CAUTION! You NEED to Be Aware of This in Regards to Fat Loss Supplements…
You may want to use caution if you are sensitive to thermogenics, those products which increase your metabolism because they will also increase your heart rate. If your tolerance level is low you may have some side-effects such as:
Sounds fun, huh? If you feel any of these symptoms simply stop using this fat burner. It’s not for you. As an added note, you may want to look into this more if you are going to compete. Some natural organizations have banned this product so competitors can’t use it.
Suppresses The Appetite (Interesting One… Read on…)
Now, I can tell you that Hoodia, Hoodia Gordonii, is a cactus-like plant which grows in the South African dessert and all that other uninteresting stuff. However, I bet you would rater know how this oddly named supplement can help you to lose body fat for your figure contest.
Here’s the deal. Pharmaceutical studies suggest that Hoodia contains a substance called P57. Now, P57 is not a military jet, it is an ingredient isolated from the Hoodia Gordonii plant. P57 acts like glucose with your nerve cells in the brain and it ultimately tricks your body into thinking it is full. Pretty neat stuff if you ask me!
So, Hoodia is a really great choice as an appetite suppressant. It is a natural supplement that has no known side effects. As far as studies show, it is a perfectly safe supplement to use if you want to drop body fat for your contest.
Be careful though. When a great product such as Hoodia hits the market, scammers come out of the woodworks. My suggestion is to stick with big companies that have been around for a long time so you know that you are getting the real product with the true ingredients.
NOW is a great supplement company. They use the purest ingredients in all their products. Anything you buy from NOW, you can rest assure that it is quality and pure.
Overlooked and Underrated Product That Actually Burns Fat – Old School Still Works…
Mobilize and Burn Fat (Underrated… Excellent Stuff)
First I want to make clear that just because a fat loss supplements have been around for some time does not make it ineffective. Food has been around as far back as we can date, and it is still an effective form of nourishment.
Please be aware that today figure, fitness, bodybuilding, bikini, and physique competitions, etc. are main stream now. It is very popular to be fit, or at least act fit. This creates a breeding ground for hungry marketers creating fat loss supplements and products with a lot of ingredients in very small quantities. You are being sold on the package, the name, and the hype.
So, now that I got THAT off my chest, let me tell you about a GREAT product that can help burn off body fat. That product is L-Carnitine. Sure, you will read others saying it’s not effective, it’s old school, blah, blah, blah. I don’t follow the pack. I do my research, report on what works, and stick to my findings.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that can quite literally increase the amount of body fat you burn in a cardio workout. L-Carnitine is the amino acid the body uses to move fat cells across the cell wall into the mitochondria, the part of the cell where fat can be burned.
What Some Are Not Aware of…
You see, people confuse this supplement with a fat burner. L-Carnitine is not a fat burner. BUT, it can help in the fat burning process to release body fat to be burned during your cardio.
There have been studies proving it works, other studies proving it doesn’t work. My experience, it does work. HOWEVER, L-Carnitine can only work properly under the right conditions.
For L-Carnitine to work as a fat loss supplement you will need to have a low body fat first. If you are about 16% or lower, you are a good candidate to use L-Carnitine. Now, another little trick to using L-Carnitine is that it works best when you are on a low-carb diet.
To help bun fat take 2 Tablespoons of liquid Now L-Carnitine before cardio and 2 Tablespoons before training. L-Carnitine has no side effects.
